Standards

We are committed to the development and continual enhancement of the Objectify products and supports your organisation's commitment to be compliant with a range of web standards.

W3C

Objectify has capability and facility to cater for Government and W3C Accessibility guidelines facilitated by metadata, ALT TAGS, HTML views of PDFs etc as well as its flexibility in design options and navigation structures.

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web (W3). It is arranged as a consortium where member organisations maintain full-time staff for the purpose of working together in the development of standards for the W3.

XHTML

Objectify can provide XHTML Strict or Transitional compliant code for all your website templates.
The Extensible HyperText Markup Language, or XHTML, is a markup language that has the same depth of expression as HTML, but also conforms to XML syntax.

XML

All Objectify CMS and KMS content is stored within Extensible Markup Language (XML). XML is a formal recommendation from the World Wide Web Consortium to create common information formats and share both the format and the data on the World Wide Web, intranets, and elsewhere.

Metadata

Objectify facilitates the use of Metadata through an easy to manage system of page classification. Meta elements provide information about a given webpage, most often to help search engines categorize them correctly. They are inserted into the HTML document, but are often not directly visible to a user visiting the site.

AGLS

The Australian Government Locator Service (AGLS) is the default Metadata schema offered by Objectify. The AGLS Metadata Standard is a set of 19 descriptive elements which government agencies can use to improve the visibility and accessibility of their services and information over the Internet.  It has been endorsed by all Australian governments and was issued as Australian Standard AS 5044 by Standards Australia in December 2002.

Web 2.0

Objectify aim to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users by faciliting the integration with Web 2.0 functionality. Web 2.0, when used in the context of analysis and promotion of web-technology, refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services - such as social-networking sites and wikis.

SQL

Objectify CMS and KMS are based on the SQL database standard. SQL, commonly expanded as Structured Query Language, is a computer language designed for the retrieval and management of data in relational database management systems, database schema creation and modification, and database object access control management. SQL has been standardized by both ANSI and ISO.

Objectify products specifically utilise Microsoft SQL Server, a relational database management system (RDBMS) produced by Microsoft. Its primary query language is Transact-SQL, an implementation of the ANSI/ISO standard Structured Query Language (SQL) used by both Microsoft and Sybase.
