Objectify Project Management
Objectify complements comprehensive functionality with proven implementation methodologies that ensure client business requirements are met and key stakeholders are satisfied.
Projects are focused on limiting client and vendor risk with rapid and achievable implementation objectives. Clear scope definition and control, stakeholder education, expectation management, Delivery to project milestones and user acceptance are considered the foundations of project success.
Project Definition Statement
This includes established proposal and project management documentation supporting Objectify agreements including the key Project Definition Statement (PDS) used for all projects. The PDS is the project document and is supplementary to the relationship contracts. It describes the scope and is used as a sign-off mechanism and testing guide.
The PDS addresses the three key phases of the Objectify implementation methodology: Planning, Build and Delivery.
Each of these phases contains a number of components or modules which are performed by fully qualified Objectify staff. Each component has been modularised to give maximum flexibility to meet specific client needs.
Depending on the scope and complexity of the implementation additional steps may also be developed with the Objectify Project Manager.
Planning
In phase 1 of the project detailed data gathering and scope definition is undertaken. The number of project days and the client impacts are clearly identified and agreed upon. The following project steps are involved in the Planning phase of Objectify projects.
Review and refine the PDS with the client project manager including:
- Confirming the project scope and implementation stages
- Confirm milestones
- Identify resources and roles
- Discuss risk and mitigation strategy
- Agree to a communications plan
- Confirm dates
- Meet with and educate stakeholders of the project, solution and management plan
- Demonstrate relevant aspects of the solution to key stakeholders
Site Build
Once the Client has initiated an implementation project, the Objectify technical team commences the configuration and integration of the product in-line with the itemised requirements identified in the Planning Phase 1. Steps include construction of the site, development of custom functionality and migration of existing content. In a replicated client environment, Objectify undertakes unit, system and initial acceptance testing to ensure client's key business drivers are delivered to.
Delivery
Depending on the complexity of your network architecture we may conduct a 'Soft Deployment' to your test and production servers to identify early in the project any potential deployment hurdles. These issues can therefore be addressed well before any test or production deployments are undertaken.
After fully testing the CMS off-site, the Objectify deployment officer in conjunction with your technical staff, will install the Objectify product within your technical environment . Technical administrators are trained on the day-to-day management of the system so that they can take part in upgrade and maintenance tasks. Site administrators and users are trained so that they can undertake meaningful testing of the product. After user acceptance testing, final content updates can be made and the new website can be launched.
